OEM/ODM Insert Molding
Insert Molding is an advanced manufacturing technique where rigid or functional inserts (metal fasteners, electrical contacts, sensors) are mechanically bonded within thermoplastic resins (e.g., nylon, ABS, PEEK) during Injection Molding. The insert is loaded into the mold cavity first; molten plastic then flows around it, creating a unified, high-strength component.
Key Features & Benefits
1. Enhanced Performance:
- Vibration Resistance: Prevents insert loosening in dynamic environments (e.g., automotive engines).
- Environmental Protection: Plastic encapsulation seals inserts against moisture, chemicals, and corrosion.
2. Streamlined Production:
- Reduced Assembly: Eliminates screws, adhesives, or secondary bonding processes.
- High-Volume Efficiency: Cycle times as low as 15–60 seconds per part.
3. Material Versatility:
- Compatible with engineering plastics (PC, PPS) and inserts (brass, stainless steel, ceramics, PCBs).
4. Precision & Reliability:
- ±0.1mm tolerance control for critical alignments (e.g., electrical terminals).
